Otta's take

Sam Franklin headshot

Sam Franklin

CEO of Otta

Feedr is targeting an estimated £4.7bn contract catering market and £20bn grab and go market. Consumers who are becoming more conscious at choosing healthier, more nutritious meal options could help them standout as a more attractive option.

Adopting a B2B2C model, Feedr attracts companies to sign up and subsidises the meals their staff order as an additional perk to boost employee well-being. This also forms part of the company’s talent recruitment and retention strategy.

Unlike on-demand food delivery options such as Uber Eats and Deliveroo, Feedr has a lower fleet requirement to perform its delivery service, as lunch orders are cut off and consolidated at 10.30am each day.

In addition, Feedr differentiates itself by curating a set of menus tailored based on the user’s order history. Feedr started off operating in London, and say they are looking to expand the service to new geographical areas.
