Forward is a medical startup that prioritizes preventative care and focuses on improving how healthcare works in order to lower costs. It relies on technology and AI to consolidate patients' medical records and monitor health risks. Patients pay a monthly fee for membership and can monitor their preventative care plan on the Forward app.
The healthcare industry is estimated to be worth over $10 trillion. The company plans to build the first billion-person healthcare system on top of its platform, changing it from a service to a product. Disrupting the industry is one thing, but reinventing the healthcare system with such an ambitious mission is a huge challenge, even if it does have more than $225 million in funding from investment firms and celebrities alike.
