Role

Who you are

  • Strong experience in building successful automated marketing campaigns
  • A track record in conversion optimisation through both email marketing and web / mobile booking
  • Strong customer-focus, with experience in market research, identifying personas and pain points and delivering solutions
  • Ability to clearly communicate strategy and work collaboratively with a team to deliver the plan
  • Data-driven: strong quantitative and qualitative analysis mindset
  • A good eye for design and knowledge of best practices
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once
  • Approach: We are looking for someone who is ambitious, experimental and incredibly customer focused. A strong communicator who is proactive and works well with people to deliver outcomes, and haves fun while doing it. The team is small and nimble, so the candidate also has to be very comfortable in a start-up environment

What the job involves

  • Increasing cross-sell and up-sell booking conversions, initially via email, then moving into other channels (text, WhatsApp etc)
  • Researching existing buying behaviours and engaging regularly with travellers, bookers and clients to identify value creation opportunities throughout the trip
  • Creating personalised experiences that customers love
  • Running experiments, A/B tests and validating ideas based on data-driven hypotheses
  • Analysing outcomes and reporting insights to internal and external stakeholders
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies and best practise
  • Developing brand awareness through thought leadership and traditional methods
  • Supporting the sales team with marketing collateral and outreach

This is particularly important as, whilst TMCs are great at selling flights, ancillaries have proved more of a challenge. Over 70% of hotel bookings are leaked to off platform sources and next to no in-destination spend is being captured. A huge amount of revenue being left on the table and Grapevine's mission is to change that.
