Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience with minimum 5 years of experience with software development in a customer-focused environment
- Significant practical experience with Javascript, Python and GCP, or equivalents
- You're able to develop a strong understanding of our product and what our users want, and to share what you learn with others
What the job involves
- You’ll work closely with our Product Lead to build changes to our product that make an impact. As an example, all of our invoices are created and sent to our customers manually. It’s a lot of work. Building this into our platform will save hundreds of hours and enable us to scale. There are dozens more projects like this one.
- Our platform is a Python / Flask backend running on Google Cloud, with Webflow and vanilla Javascript on the frontend. It has gotten us this far. Have better ideas? This is your chance to make key decisions as we transition from product/market fit through to national scale.
- Set the standard for what good looks like as we build the team around you. As an example, we have some test automation in place, but are a long way off from test driven development and continuous delivery. Help us up level and make these best practices the norm. And do this while serving a community mission.
