My manager is amazing - they really have the balance of supporting and promoting autonomy down to a tee. I feel like I can ask for help when I need it, but also that I have the space to make my own decisions. I have complete control over my work + the way that I work. We have open channels of communication, set clear objectives and there's generally a supportive vibe in the office on a peer-peer level too. Everyone wants each other to succeed!

Joining as Operations Lead in the UK, I was the first person to take on this role so there was a very steep learning curve and a lot to get from day 1 too! Was I thrown in at the deep end? Yes. But I had armbands, swimming lessons and a giant inflatable duck so I wasn't worried about sinking. I was given the resources I needed to succeed and complete confidence and support from my manager that I was capable. Lightricks hires incredibly talented people and I get to collaborate with them and learn from them on a daily basis in my role.

We have really great benefits at Lightricks. The business operates with really high levels of trust - if you say you're sick - you're sick - there's no questions asked. If you need to leave an hour early to do something important - you do it. Next month I'm taking part in mental health first aid training which will be a great opportunity to lean how I can support my peers further.
