Role
Who you are
- Good or advanced knowledge in the following languages: Javascript, Golang
- Strong experience in software design and system architecture
- Proficient in code quality assurance through tools like Git, Pull Requests and Unit Tests
- Knowledge in Rust is a plus
- Experience using or working with decentralised technologies is a big plus
- 5+ years of professional experience working with any of the technologies (or similar) mentioned in the previous section
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Love to write clean, reusable code, especially when it is open-sourced
- Solid communication skills (in English) and team-working capability
- Positive and logical approach together with willingness to learn
- Attention to detail and a passion for quality
- Strong interest in blockchain & cryptocurrency technologies
What the job involves
- Participate in the design and architecture of the protocol and its associated tools, resources and applications
- Participate in the development of the core (layer 1) blockchain protocol (written in Golang and based on the Cosmos SDK)
- Participate in the development of backend services (NodeJS) as well as in their deployment onto Google Cloud or Kubernetes clusters
- Collaborate on work organisation with the rest of the Product and Engineering teams (task management, priority reviews, experimental features)
- Ensure exemplarity in code quality through thorough technical reviews (pull requests)
- Write technical documentation (design documents and technical proposals, changelogs)
- Help with recruiting more engineers by interviewing candidates and improving existing processes
