Our take
Globally, it is estimated that over 78 million people are living with dementia, yet cognitive care has yet to see a revolution. Punto Health is setting out to change that by building a platform that connects patients, families and providers to empower continuous support.
The company has two products. Through PuntoCare, it supplies a personalised AI assistant for patients and carers that can proposes care plans and recommendations on healthy habits, as well as cognitive and physical exercises. PuntoClinic is an app for providers to manage and monitor their patients, as well as remotely screen to select patients for clinical trials.
Targeting those living with mild cognitive impairment all the way to the more advanced dementia stages, Punto acts as a trusted companion for patients - filling a much needed role. The value of its offering is made clear by a significant investment that will be used to accelerate the development of the platform as it looks to make a lasting impact on the lives of many.
