Our take
Mindful Chef is a subscription based service delivering all the fresh ingredients you need to create delicious, healthy meals at home. It believes healthy food starts with quality ingredients and differentiates itself by using locally sourced produce.
Mindful Chef is a Certified B Corp, which means its focused on using business as a force for good, balancing people and planet with profit. The company also partnered with the One Feeds Two charity, for every Mindful meal sold, the company will donate a school meal to a child living in poverty.
There is a big trend towards healthy and sustainable eating, but Mindful Chef is one of several players in this space, including well-backed competitors like Hello Fresh, Gousto and allplants. The key will be maintaining a good level of differentiation as they grow.
In recent years, Nestle has acquired a majority stake in Mindful Chef. Since expanding into the frozen food sector and partnering with The Borough Broth Company, Mindful Chef has seen a huge surge in sales and aims to propel to greater heights.

At Mindful Chef your development plan is led by you, not your manager. In most organisations your manager sets your goals but here we set our own goals and your managers role is to support you in reaching them. Since joining my manager has played an integral role in my development and has facilitated this through weekly 1-1's and regular catch-ups.
