Our take
Non-invasive blood monitoring has been sought after for decades, but its only in recent years that it has become a reality. Synex Medical is one company that has pioneered this tech, delivering a self-monitoring device for blood sugar measurement, that does not require a finger prick.
The company's offering consists of a wearable device that allows users to monitor their metabolite concentrations through a miniaturised magnetic resonance system. It uses the same underlying principle as in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and is able to detect concentrations of metabolites such as glucose and lactate in real time.
The result is a painless, easy and data-rich way for individuals to measure their blood. With this, Synex’s technology has opened up an entirely new category of applications to enable everyone to understand their bodies and proactively improve their health.
